Folded Brochures
These are printed materials consisting of two or more pages folded in a normal or special sequence, with more or less regular patterns.
From a technical and design perspective, it is essential to have a dialogue already during the design phase with the dedicated department to verify the industrialization of the layout and ensure that the significant mechanical stresses do not damage the printed material.
There is a wide variety of folds that can be achieved through automated lines:
- Parallel folds: accordion folds, window folds, roll folds. These are obtained by making multiple parallel folds on the same side.
- Cross folds, obtained by folding the sheet two or more times with folds perpendicular to each other.
- Mixed folds: a combination of cross and parallel folds.
If the paper substrate has a weight greater than 170 gsm and to ensure excellent print quality, it is advisable to score along the fold lines. It is also possible to emboss the printed material through inline or interrupted perforations (T or L).
If required, it is possible to apply labels, seals, and, using a glue point, single-dose sample sachets and cards.
