Pre Press

The pre press phase includes all the operations involved in preparing the job from the graphic file defined by the graphic designer to the actual printing.

It represents a crucial step in job planning as it allows for careful checking of the file with regard to the following aspects:

• Layout
• Formatting to the required print size
• Preflight: file inspection for images, fonts, profiles
• Color management and proofing
• Imposition and bleed
• Rasterization, screening, and plate creation for offset printing technology

Cyanotypes are then created for final validation by the client before printing.
